President
Bob Parks founded Superior Pipeline Company, LLC in 1996, along with Unit Corporation and a private company based in Dallas, Texas. He successfully grew Superior’s base of gathering, treating and processing assets until Unit Corporation acquired the equity interests of Mr. Parks and the private company in July 2004. Mr. Parks continued in his role of President after the acquisition by Unit. The company has maintained its focus on acquiring and constructing, gathering, treating and processing assets under Mr. Parks' leadership, and Superior currently operates ten processing plants, three treating plants and over 860 miles of pipeline.
Prior to founding Superior, Mr. Parks co-founded Cimarron Gathering and Processing Company in 1992. The assets of Cimarron were sold in 1996. Prior to the founding of Cimarron, Mr. Parks served as Vice President of Business Development for American Central Gas Companies from 1986-1992. Mr. Parks began his career as an engineer with Cities Service Corp. in Tulsa in 1978. Mr. Parks holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Rice University.
Vice President, Gas Supply
Bill Ward, Vice President of Gas Supply, joined Superior Pipeline Company, LLC in February 2008. Prior to joining Superior, he completed a ten-year career with Devon Gas Services, formerly Mitchell Gas Services, in the positions of Director of Business Development Central Region and Manager of Gas Marketing for the Rocky Mountain, Gulf Coast and West Texas Regions. From 1993 to 1998, Mr. Ward was Manager of Intrastate Gathering and Storage for Burlington Resources. Mr. Ward started his career in the gas industry in 1985 with Rockland Pipeline Company in the capacity of Director of Gas Supply and Business Development and Vice President of CanRock Pipeline Company. Mr. Ward serves as a board member on the Gas Processors Association (GPA), the Natural Gas and Energy Association of Oklahoma (NGEAO) and the Texas Intrastate Pipeline Association (TIPA). Mr. Ward holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Sam Houston State University and further studies in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Houston.
Vice President, Engineering and Operations
Bill Queen, Vice President of Engineering and Operations, joined Superior Pipeline Company, LLC in August 2004. Prior to joining Superior, Mr. Queen worked as a contract engineer to Unit Corporation from 2003 to 2004. From 2000 to 2003, he provided consulting services to consumers and producers of natural gas. From 1998 to 2000 he was the Vice President of Resource Energy. From 1983 to 1998 he worked for Gas Energy Development Co. (GED) as its founder and officer engaged in the midstream and natural gas marketing businesses. Other experience includes R.L. Frailey, Inc., an engineering/construction company in the natural gas processing industry and Conoco, Inc. as a staff engineer in the central engineering department. Mr. Queen earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1978.
Director of Accounting and Administration
Ed Alexander, Director of Accounting and Administration for Superior Pipeline Company, LLC, has served in his current capacity since June 2008. Mr. Alexander joined Superior Pipeline Company, LLC in July 2003 and served as Manager of Financial Accounting and other positions with Superior Pipeline Company, LLC from July 2003 to June 2008. Mr. Alexander served as Manager of Accounting for CMS Energy Company from October 1998 to June 2003. Mr. Alexander served as Manager of Financial Accounting and other positions for Continental Natural Gas from March 1989 to October 1998. Mr. Alexander began his career in the financial accounting department with Adams Affiliates from May 1984 to March 1989. Mr. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Administration degree in Accounting from Oklahoma State University; he is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant.
Vice President, Business Development
Chuck Davies joined Superior Pipeline Company, LLC in 2004, as Vice President of Business Development, working on acquisitions and opportunities around Superior’s traditional operating areas in the Mid-Continent. With the formation of Superior Appalachian Pipeline in 2008, Mr. Davies opened an office in Pennsylvania with the purpose of exploring gas midstream opportunities in the Appalachian region. Previously, Mr. Davies worked for CMS Field Services in business development, participating in the development of midstream projects in the Mid-Continent, Rockies and offshore Louisiana. Prior to this, he held various positions within Cimarron Natural Gas Companies. Mr. Davies graduated from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
Vice President, Project Development
Ken Magyar, Vice President, Project Development, joined Superior Appalachian Pipeline in March of 2008. Mr. Magyar has over twenty-eight years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He is skilled in operating regulated and non-regulated energy assets, business development, acquisitions and strategic planning roles. Prior to joining Superior, Mr. Magyar was the Vice President of Marketing for Gasco/Titan Companies operating in the Appalachian basin states. Mr. Magyar was responsible for all gas marketing functions, storage and transportation arrangements. Mr. Magyar began his energy career as a geologist and held positions of increasing responsibility for Appalachian exploration and production companies in the 1980’s. Mr. Magyar received a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Muskingun University in 1982.
