GPA Midstream recently announced recipients of the organization’s safety awards — a recognition companies earn by compiling an outstanding safety record.
GPA’s latest member spotlight is Superior Pipeline Company’s Cheney Plant, which achieved a perfect safety record — operating without a lost time accident or fatality — for a 55th consecutive year. The last time the facility had an accident, Lyndon Johnson was president, the nation’s number one song was “Hey Jude,” and the top movie was “Funny Girl.” This accomplishment underscores the company’s steadfast commitment to safety, a value integral to the midstream industry.
Superior Pipeline’s offers a range of services, including gas gathering, processing, treating, and marketing of natural gas and natural gas liquids across multiple states. The company recently expanded operations by acquiring natural gas gathering and processing assets in Central Kansas.
Superior Pipeline’s dedication to safety sets a benchmark in the midstream industry.
The Appalachian team was happy to volunteer at Toys for Tots in Natrona Heights PA. A great way to serve the community — an integral part of Superior Midstream’s ESG initiatives.
Superior Midstream was awarded #6 out of 79 businesses nominated at the SHSU Alumni Association annual event that identifies and honors the 79 fastest growing companies that are owned or led by an SHSU Alumni. In addition, the Sam Houston 79 provides a forum to pass lessons to the next generation of SHSU business entrepreneurs and leaders.
The Appalachian team was happy to volunteer again recently at the Market located within the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. A great way to serve the community — an integral part of Superior Midstream’s ESG initiatives.
During a recent Pennsylvania One Call Training, Superior Midstream’s Appalachian operators demonstrated their commitment to excellence.
The training included a pipeline locating test. Out of over 100 trainees, Matt Lafever placed 1st, Noah Vislosky placed 2nd and our newest operator, Isaac Scherf placed 6th.
We’re thankful for an operations team that takes safety and safety-related training seriously.

The Cheney Plant delivered a pallet of water that the Fair Board had asked if we could provide. Standing in the picture L-R are:

Superior Midstream recently donated school supplies to the Pencil Box. The Pencil Box provides core supplies as well as enrichment and incentive items for teachers in the Tulsa County Public School system to use in their classrooms.
Bill Ward, President, and Merle Cooper, Manager of Operations and Construction, had the opportunity to have a Lunch and Learn on the campus of OSUIT with our 2023 scholarship recipients.
